GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Saturday to the Grove City Wolverines at Beeghly Gymnasium, 67-45.
Leading by just four points at halftime (29-25), the Wolverines outscored the Tomcats 38-20 in the second half to secure the conference victory.
Taylor Ketler led the Tomcats with nine points while Erin DiFalco tallied eight points off the bench. Jaclyn Watkins scored six points and led the Tomcats with seven rebounds.
Nearing her 1,000th career point, Kathryn Erbelding scored a game-high 20 points for the Wolverines while pulling down 13 rebounds to record a double-double. She also tallied nine steals, falling one short of a triple-double. Also for the Wolverines, Lexie Arkwright scored 14 points while Teresa Dallatore came up with nine rebounds.
The Tomcats will travel to Latrobe, Pa., Wednesday to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The PAC contest is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
