For the fourth time this season, Jacqueline Kennedynotched career-highs with 34 points, 21 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the Bearcats to a 71-49 CUNYAC home win on Friday night in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats led throughout most of the contest and out-scored the visiting Cardinals with a 21-8 margin in the third period to turn the early competitive contest into a late rout to even their season record at 3-3 and 2-1 in CUNYAC.
Symone Greencame up big with a near double-double of 19 points, nine rebounds and two steals.
Kristen Podlovits, who is currently second in the NCAA Division III with 8.8 assists per game, dished out a career-high 12 assists and collected three steals.
The Bearcats shot 44 percent (30-for-69), and out-rebounded the Cardinals, 57-42.
The contest featured a battle of two of the Top 10 NCAA Division III leaders in rebounding with Baruch's Kennedy (6th place, 14.2 rpg) going up against York's Jigcara Grant (4th place 16.4). Grant finished the game with 20 rebounds, but only five in the second half.
The Bearcats will now go on Final Exam and Holiday Break. They will resume play on Tuesday, December 29, with a 5:00 pm non-conference contest against No. 8 ranked Tufts University.
