Greencastle, Ind. - Alison Stephens matched a career high with 12 points and established a new one with 14 rebounds as host and top-ranked DePauw advanced to the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament title game with a 70-40 win over Alma. 

The Tigers face #16 Ithaca in tomorrow's 5 p.m. championship game after the Bombers topped Hanover, 77-70 (recap below).

DePauw never trailed on the way to its 43rd straight overall win and its 62nd consecutive regular season victory as the Tigers scored the game's first eight points in the opening three minutes.

The Scots were still within seven at 15-8 before DePauw rattled off 11 straight at the start of a 15-2 tun to push the lead to 30-10. DePauw led, 41-18, at the break and opened the second half with an 11-4 stretch to expand the margin to 30.

Savannah Trees led the Tigers with 13 followed by Stephens and Emma Ondik with 12 apiece. Stephens' 14 rebounds were a game high and the double-double was the first of her collegiate career. Ali Ross dished out five assists and head three steals in the win.

Mallory Pruett paced Alma with 14 points, while Erica Hansen followed with a double-double of 11 points and 10 boards.

DePauw shot just 32.4 percent from the field and hit 7-of-31 three-pointers, but the Scots connected on just 27.5 percent from the floor and were 3-of-17 from beyond the arc. The Tigers' 31 three-point attempts equaled a school record. DePauw outrebounded Alma, 56-33, and held a 21-8 advantage in second-chance points.

In the day's opening game, Ithaca outscored Hanover 8-0 over the final two-plus minutes to take the seven-point win. The game was tightly contested throughout with 17 ties and 17 lead changes.

Mary Kate Tierney led Ithaca with 22 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, while Jenn Escobido followed with 12 points and 10 boards. Geena Brady and Kathryn Campbell each scored 11 in the win.

Alicia Hopkins led Hanover with 15 points, four assists and five steals with Caitlin Bischoff added 14 points. Elyse Weddle chipped in 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds and Shauna Watson added 10.

Ithaca shot 45.5 percent form the field for the game including 54.8 percent in the second half, while the Panthers connected on just 37.1 percent for the game. The Bombers also knocked in 7-of-16 from three-point range and outrebounded Hanover 48-38.
