Daytona Beach, Fla. – Marymount University's women's basketball team won its fourth-straight game with a 54-37 victory over Berry at the Daytona Beach Shootout on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints improve to 8-3 on the season.

Katelyn Fischer led the Saints with a game-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including going 4-for-6 from three point range. Dominique Dickens and Tynisha Parks both added 10 points.

Dickens and Miranda Krott each pulled down nine rebounds while Parks added eight. Marymount outrebounded Berry 44-31 on the day.

Parks also rejected three Vikings (4-5) shots as Dickens nabbed four steals.

A slow first half saw Berry take an early lead and hold an advantage the majority of the opening frame. Steadily keeping pace and chipping away at the Vikings lead, Fischer put the Saints up 19-18 with a three-pointer at the 4:50 mark. Berry would retake the lead a minute later but another Fischer trifecta lifted the Saints up 22-20 with just under a minute left before the Vikings knotted things up at 22-22 going into the halftime.

Coming out of the break, the second half started off by trading baskets before the Saints took full control about three minutes into the period. Over the next seven minutes of action, Marymount clamped down on defense and put the game away courtesy of a 20-0 run over the Vikings.

Chanlir Segarra led Berry with 12 points.

The Saints return to action on Thursday as they face Fontbonne in the final game of the Daytona Beach Shootout.
