New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team fell to the John Jay Bloodhounds 78-19 in a CUNYAC matchup on Tuesday January. 8, 2013. John Jay improved to 6-6 Overall and 4-1 CUNYAC while Medgar Evers College dropped to 0-13 Overall 0-5 CUNYAC.

Medgar Evers College tied the score at two, with 18:11 left in the 1st half. John Jay led the rest of the game.

Medgar Evers College in the loss was led by Freshman Guard Nia Tompkins. Tompkins scored 7pts, grabbed four rebounds, added an assist, and a steal. Freshman Guard Jaquy Lanot scored 6pts, grabbed 5 rebounds, added an assist, and a steal.

John Jay was led by Victoria Story with 25pts, Jamecia Forsythe added 16pts.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Saturday January. 12, 2013, when they play the College of Staten Island Dolphins at the CSI Sports and Rec Center. Game time is 12pm.
