#25 Lady Wildcats down Hardin-Simmons 76-59

Despite holding the nation's leading scoring team to a season low 76 points, Hardin-Simmons was still unable to stop the #25 Lady Wildcats from walking out of the Mabee Complex in Abiline, Tx. with a 76-59 victory and their unbeaten 8-0 record in tact.
 
Louisiana College, who also forced a season low 25 turnovers against HSU and were outshot 38% (22-58) to 28% (24-86) were able to pull away for a 17 point victory by dominating the game in two places: at the free-throw line and behind the 3-point line.
 
HSU shot just 46.4% (13-28) from the free throw line, while LC shot 69.2% (18-26) from the charity stripe.
 
LC also held HSU to a 2-14 shooting night from beyond the arc while making 10 of their 38 shots from deep. Kala Chenier and Karylon Thornton led the Lady Wildcats with three made 3-pointers each.
 
Senior Natosha Gottlieb, already a two-time ASC player of the week, once against put herself in position to receive the weekly award by recording yet another double-double. The Bolton High School product finished the game with 13 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
 
Thronton, a sophomore who was been on fire since ASC play began, finished with 11 points, joining Chenier (13 points and 7 rebounds) as the three Lady Wildcats in double figure scoring.
 
LC now stands at 8-0, 5-0 in the ASC. They will get a two-week rest before they travel to Montgomery, Al. on December 28th  for the Huntingdon Coaches vs Cancer Classic, where they will take on Ferrum College follow by Transylvania College on the 29th.
