MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Univeristy Wisconsin was in control from the outset on the way to a one-sided win, 84-50, over Aurora University on Saturday afternoon in the R. John Buuck Field House.
Head coach Stacey Brunner-Jones' team broke to a 17-2 lead over the first eight minutes of play and was up 34-17 at the half.
"We needed this game to get back on track and restore our collective confidence," Brunner-Jones said. "It was great to see so many players contribute positively and distribute the ball so well. Everybody had some good minutes."
CUW (5-3, 5-1 NAC) deflated the Spartan will after the break, stretching a 39-27 cushion with 17 minutes left to 60-36 by the 10 minute mark. And it was off to the races after that.
