GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg used an 11-0 run early in the second half to break open a tight game against Ursinus College and finish with a 65-58 Centennial Conference victory in Bream Gym on Saturday afternoon.

Four players scored in double figures for Gettysburg (16-5, 11-5 CC), which maintained its hold on third place in the CC standings with four games remaining in the regular season. Juniors Sara Kinsley (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) and Julie McGrory (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and senior Mary Spicer (Floral Park, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) combined for 41 points off the Bullets bench, while senior Caitlin Moser (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) recorded her 16th career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Ursinus (13-8, 9-7 CC) trailed 33-31 following a lay-up by Lindsay Teuber at 18:35 of the final period. That would be the Bears last field goal for over seven minutes as Gettysburg's defense forced 10 consecutive misses from the field. In the meantime, the Bullets put in 11 points to jump ahead 44-31 at 11:47.

Gettysburg's lead would dip below double digits just once for the remainder of the game until a last-second three-pointer by Jaclyn Hilf set the final margin. The hosts gained their largest advantage of the game following a three-pointer and lay-up by Spicer which made it 59-40 with less than five minutes left.

Ursinus held the early advantage in the game, jumping out to an 8-2 lead five minutes in. The Bullets chipped away, eventually tying the game at 10-10. Four more ties followed until back-to-back buckets by Kinsley and McGrory pushed the host's advantage to 22-18 at 7:45.

Gettysburg's first-half lead was short-lived as Ursinus climbed back in front with five-straight points. The lead would change hands twice more with  a Jackie Thomas' three-pointer giving the visitors what would turn out to be their final lead 28-27 with 1:17 before the half. Kinsley came right back with a lay-up and McGrory knocked down a pair of free throws to hand Gettysburg a 31-28 advantage going into the break.

Kinsley finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three blocks for Gettysburg. McGrory was perfect in six trips to the charity stripe as part of her 15 points, while Spicer finished with 10 points. Moser added five assists and three steals to her double-double.

Teuber put up a game-high 18 points and a team-high seven rebounds in the loss. Hilf caught fire at the end of the game, knocking down five of her final seven shots, including four treys, en route to 14 points.

Gettysburg resumes play at home on Wednesday, Feb. 9, against Franklin & Marshall College at 6 p.m. The Diplomats won the teams' first meeting 66-53 on Dec. 8.
