GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – Immaculata's Chelsea McTigue posted a game-high 25 points as Gwynedd-Mercy's three-game win streak came to an end in the Mighty Mac's 81-55 CSAC win over the Griffins Thursday night.

Gwynedd (10-6, 6-2 CSAC) could not recover from a slow first half, where they shot just 26% from the floor and just 2-of-13 from downtown and fell behind by 17 at halftime.

Freshman Jordan Dominic was the only Griffin in double figures , as she hit three of the team's six treys to finish with 11 points.

McTigue was one of five Macs in double digits. Teammate Leah Kuczynski added16 points and 10 boards and Rachel Denis netted 12.

GM found itself down 21-8 at the midway point of the first stanza. It then became 32-20 with just under four in the period before the Griffins tried to kickstart a rally. A bucket inside from freshman Cara McArdle followed by a three-pointer from junior Brittany Neill put GM down just seven (32-25) and looked to turn the momentum towards the Griffins.

It would be the last field goal for GM before halftime as the Mighty Macs outscored the Griffins, 10-0, over the last 3:14 to lead 42-25 at the break.

Gwynedd rebounded to shoot 41% (10-of-24) in the second half, but could get no closer than 18 points the rest of the way.

The Griffins will look to rebound and regroup as they host Keystone here on Monday in CSAC action starting at 6 p.m.
