GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg College scored 35 points off turnovers to push its way past Haverford College 76-43 in Centennial Conference women's hoops action inside Bream Gym on Saturday.

Gettysburg (13-4, 8-4 CC) maintained its tie for third in the conference standings as each of the top five teams won on Saturday. The Bullets received a game-high 17 points from junior Julie McGrory (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), while freshmen Caroline Murphy (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and Rianna Doane (Glen Mills, Pa./Bayard Rustin) each tallied a dozen points. Murphy also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds for her first collegiate double-double.

Saturday's outcome was never in doubt as the hosts ran off the game's first 11 points. Gettysburg was on fire for much of the opening period, finishing 15-for-28 from the floor (53.6 percent) overall as the lead blossomed to 21 points (39-18) following a pair of free throws by McGrory before the half.

Haverford (8-9, 5-7 CC) started to come back in the second stanza with an old-fashioned three-point play by Dominique Meeks pulling the visitors to 42-29 at 14:19. The Bullets put an emphatic end to the bid with a 17-0 run, capped by three consecutive buckets by Murphy, to push the lead to 30 (59-29) at 8:55.

Gettysburg maintained a 30-point advantage for the final eight minutes as the team scored 17 points off turnovers and picked up 24 points from the reserves in the second period.

The Bullets held an opponent below 50 points for the third-straight game as Haverford shot just 24.1 percent from the field (13-54), including just 5-of-23 from beyond the arc. The hosts also out-rebounded the visitors 48-36 and forced 24 turnovers for the game.

McGrory finished 6-of-10 from the field and 4-of-4 at the charity stripe to lead Gettysburg in scoring for the fourth time in five games. Murphy was 5-of-9 from the field and hit a pair of free throws to set a personal scoring mark, while Doane missed only one shot from the field and canned both three-point attempts.

Sophomore Alyssa Oursler (Middletown, Md./Middletown) posted nine points, six rebounds, and three steals for the Bullets. Junior Sara Kinsley (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) posted eight points, eight rebounds, and three blocks and senior Mary Spicer (Floral Park, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) notched seven points and three assists.
