GREENSBORO, N.C. (1/14/11) - Jordan Burkholder scored a game-high 22 points in Bridgewater College's 76-48 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball win over Guilford College Friday night in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
The Eagles (10-2, 6-2 ODAC) started the game on a roll, building at 30-2 advantage 11 minutes into the game. The Quakers (7-6, 3-5 ODAC) closed the gap to 44-17 at the half, but drew no closer than 24 points for the rest of the game.
Jessica Mullen added 19 points and shared team-high rebounds honors with Katelynn Hottinger with eight apiece for Bridgewater.
Bridgewater forced Guilford into 25 turnovers, which led to 37 Eagles points. Burkholder led the way with seven steals, three assists, and made six-of-seven free-throws.
Guilford's freshmen post tandem of Morgan King and Gabby Oglesby led the way for the Quakers with 10 points and 12 rebounds, respectively.
Tomorrow (Jan. 15) is Guilford's Youth Day in the Ragan-Brown Field House. Children are invited to attend the Quakers' ODAC game with Eastern Mennonite University at 4:00 p.m.
