ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth had a disappointing finish to its first-semester schedule Friday as the Golden Flyers lost at home to Penn State Behrend in women's basketball, 74-55.

Nazareth dropped to 4-6 with the non-conference defeat. Penn State Behrend improved to 5-3.

The Golden Flyers had difficulty getting untracked offensively throughout the game as they made just 20 of 63 shots from the field (31.7 percent), including 4 of 20 three-pointers. The Golden Flyers also committed 26 turnovers.

The game was close throughout the first half before three-point baskets by the Lions' Amy Oldach and Brianna Bayly in the closing minute enabled the visitors to take a six-point lead, 34-28, at the break. The Lions bolted out of the intermission by scoring 10 straight points in the first two minutes to extend the lead to 44-28. Oldach, who finished with a game-high 21 points, had five during the opening second-half stretch and Aly Eagle completed the surge by converting a three-point play.

The Lions' lead remained in double digits for most of the way in the second half, though Nazareth closed to within 10, 65-55, on a basket by Brittany TallChief with 1:25 left. The Lions stayed in front by scoring the last nine points all from the free-throw line. Holly Bourquin and Kim Pol each sank four free throws and Oldach made another to make the final margin 74-55.

Brittany Wilson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Nazareth while TallChief added eight points and three blocks. Oldach's 21 points included four three-pointers. She also had nine rebounds, four assists and five steals. Bourquin and Pol each finished with 13 points. Brouquin had a game-high 13 rebounds. Eagle had 12 points.

Nazareth returns to action next weekend to resume its Empire 8 Conference schedule with home game against Hartwick (Friday at 6 p.m.) and Stevens (Saturday at 2 p.m.).
