Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (2-2, 1-0 CUNYAC0 jumped out to a 21-2 lead over borough rival Medgar Evers (1-7, 0-1 CUNYAC) and never looked back as they cruised to a 62-45 victory. Brooklyn never trailed in the game and led by 16 at the half.
Gracie Plagainos (Curtis / Staten Island, NY) sparked the early lead as she scored the Bulldogs first nine points, each on made three-pointers. Plagainos finished with a team-high 15 points, knocking down a game-high five three-pointers.
Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park / Floral Park, NY) chipped in with 13 points, while Ariel Smith (Wallklill / Newburgh, NY) added 10 for Brooklyn.
The Bulldogs will look to win their third straight on Thursday when they host City Tech in what will be another CUNYAC South Division showdown.
