Denison Hands Chatham Second Straight Loss

GRANVILLE, OH (November 28, 2010) . . . The Chatham University women's basketball team continued their two-day road trip today as they traveled to Denison College for a non-conference match-up. Denison defeated the visiting Cougars by a final score of 51-46.

 

The Cougars trailed by six at halftime and was unable to narrow the score in the second 20 minutes of play, sealing the victory for Denison.

 

Senior Kayla Hilko (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) led Chatham today with a team-high 10 points in the loss. Hilko now has a total of 917 career points, eclipsing the previous school record of 910.

 

Other top scorers for Chatham today were Felicia Brown (Temple Hills, MD/Friendly) and Lizz King (Cabot, PA/Knoch), who each finished the game today with eight points.

 

Chatham, who dropped to 3-3 overall this weekend with the loss, will open up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play this week as they travel to Waynesburg University on Wednesday, December 1st for a 6 pm contest.
