CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College women's basketball team won their third straight game to open the season with a 92-39 victory over Pensacola Christian on Saturday afternoon at A.E. Wood Coliseum.  The Lady Choctaws shot 63% (36-57) from the floor and forced 39 turnovers from the Eagles.

Senior Jennifer Wair led the way with 12 points and seven rebounds, six of which were offensive boards.  Wair has led the team in scoring in each of the first three games this season

Junior Karli Kenley and freshman Madeline Roberts scored 11 points and went 4-4 from the floor.  Kenley led the team with seven of MC's 29 steals.

Senior Jalessa Taylor scored seven points and pulled down four rebounds, while leading MC with six assists.

The Eagles were led by Candace Coleman with seven points.  Karen Kendall led PCC with five rebounds in the game.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the University of New Orleans at 5:30 in the "Golden Dome".
