LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team rebounded from a road loss by toppling visiting Rockford University at home, pulling back into a tie for first place.

THE DETAILS
A three-point play from Eric Grygo put Benedictine ahead for good just over two minute into the contest, part of an 8-0 finished on a three from Kyle Graebner to make the score 11-6 at the 16:13 mark
Three consecutive three-pointers, two of which came from Nick Kosich, enabled Benedictine to open a double-digit advantage at 20-13
Keegan Graebner extended the lead to 19 points at 28-9 with a three-pointer just past the halfway point of the first
Rockford cut the lead down to 11 promptly with an 8-0 run and used a 10-2 stretch late in the half to pull within eight before a Keegan Graebner jumper made the score 42-32 at the half
Back-to-back baskets from Cade Ellingson and Kosich pushed the lead to 15 points at 50-35 five minutes into the second and Benedictine led by double digits the rest of the way
Benedictine is now 7-0 at home on the season and pulled back into a first place tie due to results elsewhere around the conference

Benedictine shot 50 percent for the game and held a 41-36 advantage on the glass while netting 30 points in the paint
Kosich knocked down five three-pointers and finished with a career best 19 points
Grygo tallied 16 points to go with 15 rebounds and five blocks in his fifth double-double of the season
Kyle Graebner connected on three treys and finished with 13 points while Ellingson nabbed a career best 12
