How It Happened:

On the run, senior Darin Gordon netted six points while junior David Giuliani added four points. The Bishops cut the Spartan lead to six at 20-14 but York answered on an 8-0 run to take a 28-14 advantage.

• Ohio Wesleyan scored the next two buckets to cut York's lead to ten but the Green and White again answered, this time with a prolonged 19-6 spurt as York's lead grew to 23 with 3:11 left in the stanza. The Spartan advantage grew to a high of 24 on a Tristan Kent put back but the Bishops closed out the second half with an 8-0 run, cutting their halftime deficit to 16 at 51-35.

• York was blistering in the first half as they shot 69% from the floor and 57.1% (8-for-14) from three. The Spartans also forced 11 Bishop turnovers which led to 17 Spartan points.

• The offensive pace slowed in the second half as the Spartan lead vacillated between ten and 19 points over the first 14 minutes of the stanza. The Bishops trimmed the York lead below double digits for the first time in the half on an Ethan Stanislawski jumper with 4:21 left in the game. The Spartan lead was trimmed to eight but that's as close as the Bishops would get as the Spartans killed the clock and went 5-for-6 from the free throw line over the final 1:26 to salt away the win.
