How It Happened:

• The Spartans got off to a good start in the game as they led 13-5 just under four minutes into the game. The Aggies trimmed the Spartan lead to three at 19-16 on a Mike Cianciulli lay-up with 12:40 left in the half. York responded with an 11-3 run that was fueled by freshman Logan Collins as he made four free throws and also hit a lay-up during the spurt. The Spartan lead eventually grew to a half-high 12 on a Jared Wagner lay-up.

• The Aggies stormed back and used a 10-1 run to cut the Spartan lead to a pair on a Devin Hill three pointer. York answered with another Wagner lay-up and a Joe Polczynski three pointer for a quick five point burst before the half as York took a 42-34 lead to the break.

• The Spartans came out the break and tried to build on the lead but the Aggies kept them within reach. The Spartan lead vacillated between nine and 13 points over the opening eight minutes of the stanza. Travis Stoll hit a pair of free throws to put York up 15 but the Aggies reeled York back, cutting the lead to 11 twice. York then went on a 13-0 run that essentially put the game away as the lead ballooned to 76-52 with 6:16 left in the game.

• The Spartan advantage grew to as many as 25 before York settled for a 23-point win. The margin of victory marks the sixth time this year they have won by 20 points or more.
