Berea, KY. – The Berea College men's basketball team pulls in their third straight conference victory with a 111-104 win against the Pfeiffer Falcons. The Mountaineers pulled out a much needed victory thanks to the amazing play of guards Torell Carter and Isaac Caudill.

The Mountaineers were on top of things defensively in the first half as they held the Falcons to under 40 percent shooting while also forcing 10 turnovers. Berea took the lead early and did not trail at any point during the game. Freshman guard Isaac Caudill started the game red-hot, shooting over 50 percent from the field while recording 14 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in the first half. This helped the Mountaineers jump out to a 49-37 lead going into the break.

Caudill continued to play well in the second half scoring 15 points, but it was Torell Carter who really shined. Carter went 10-12 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line on his way to pouring in 29 points in the second half alone. The Falcons were able to make a couple of runs to cut the Mountaineers lead down to 4 with less than two minutes remaining. Mostly because of the 37 points put up by the Falcon's Kyle Riddley. However, the combined 66 points from Carter and Caudill proved to be too much as the Mountaineers rolled to a 111-104 victory at home.

Carter finished the game with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists while Caudill chipped in his own 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Berea will stay at home as they take on William Peace University Sunday, February 3 at the Berea College Seabury Center at 2:00 PM.
