CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Sophomore Andrew Jaworski (Tolland, Conn.) led four Babson College players in double figures but 12th-ranked MIT rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to edge the Beavers in overtime, 94-90, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon inside Rockwell Cage.

Babson, which had its six-game winning streak snapped, slips to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in league play, while MIT improves to 15-2 overall and 5-1 in the NEWMAC.

Junior Frank Oftring (North Attleboro, Mass.) scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while classmate Julian Alexis (Somerville, N.J.) made a season-high four three-pointers and finished with 15 points for the Beavers. First-year James Welch (Needham, Mass.) contributed 13 points off the bench and junior Shyheim Ulrickson (Topsham, Maine) dished out five assists in the loss.

Senior AJ Jurko (Weston, Fla.) led all scorers with a career-high 37 points, while classmate Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Engineers. Fellow senior Tim Roberts (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) recorded his 14th double-double with 13 points and 11 boards and sophomore Hamilton Forsythe (Weston, Conn.) chipped in with 10 points.

There were six ties and four lead changes over the first 11 minutes before the Green and White took a 32-24 lead with 7:17 to go until halftime thanks to an 8-0 run that included a three-point play by Welch and a triple by Alexis. Back-to-back layups by Oftring and Ulrickson extended the Beavers' margin to nine, and a jumper by Alexis made it 43-33 with 3:29 to go until halftime.

Babson was up 49-41 at the break and got hoops from Oftring and senior Brandon Johnson (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) and a free throw from Jaworski to build its largest lead of the game at 54-41 with 17:21 to play. MIT responded with a 19-5 run that included eight points from Forsythe to go back in front 60-59 on his layup with 9:15 remaining in regulation.

Sophomore Matt Pattyson (Doylestown, Pa.) put the Green and White back up 62-60 with a three-pointer, and five points from Welch and a pair of hoops by Oftring gave the Beavers a 71-64 advantage with 5:59 to play. The lead was 74-69 after an Alexis trifecta, but the Engineers got five straight points from Jomard as part of a 6-0 run that put them in front 75-74 at the 3:15 mark.

Babson got buckets from Pattyson and Oftring and a pair of free throws to take an 80-77 edge with 19 seconds left, but Jurko drained a three-pointer from the top of the key with 12 ticks left to force overtime. MIT opened the extra session with a 9-2 run that included five points from Jurko and went 5-of-8 at the charity stripe over the final 30 seconds to hold off the Beavers' rally.

The Green and White shot 44.2 percent and finished with a 41-33 edge on the glass. The Engineers shot 51.7 percent and outscored the Beavers 26-9 at the free throw line.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday as Babson travels to Emerson at 7:30 p.m., while MIT visits Clark at 7 p.m.

GAME NOTES
• The Beavers are now 54-24 all-time against MIT but have now dropped four of the last five meetings between the teams.
• Three straight regular season matchups between Babson and the Engineers have gone to OT and five of the last seven games have been decided by six points or less.
• Saturday's loss was just the third in the last 35 NEWMAC road games for Babson going back to 2015.
• Babson is 3-2 in games decided by five points or less and 0-2 this season in overtime.
