Franklin Trio Earns All-HCAC Postseason Accolades

Franklin, Ind. - Three Franklin College men's basketball players have been honored by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) for their strong performances during the 2015-16 season.

Junior Aaron Mann (Indianapolis, Ind./Howe) received second-team all-conference accolades, while senior Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) was a honorable-mention selection. Junior Trey Boles (Carrollton, Ky./Carroll County) was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Mann ranked second in the HCAC in scoring this season, averaging 20.6 points per game. The guard also collected seven rebounds per contest – the fourth-best mark in the conference during the 2015-16 season. Mann made 43.8 percent of his three-point field goal attempts and shot 87 percent at the free throw line. He scored 20 or more points in 12 of his 24 games, including four 30-point performances.

Washington led the HCAC with 122 assists this winter. The guard averaged 16.8 points per game, with a career-high 35 points in the Grizzlies' 93-77 win at Anderson University in the season finale. Washington scored 20 or more points in seven games and had six or more assists in 10 contests.

Boles (left) played in 24 games and earned nine starts as a junior. He made 46.9 percent of his three-point field goal attempts and shot 49.3 percent overall during the season. Boles scored a season-high 13 points in a double overtime contest against Anderson in January.

Franklin concluded the 2015-16 by winning three of its last four games.
