Franklin's Trae Washington Named HCAC Player of the Week

Franklin, Ind. - Scoring a career-high 35 points in his final collegiate game has earned Franklin College men's basketball senior guard Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Week award.

Washington scored 35 points in Franklin's 93-77 win over Anderson University last Saturday. That helped him average 25.5 points, six rebounds, and four assists in leading the Grizzlies to a pair of triumphs at Transylvania University (87-84 in overtime) and Anderson. He made all 13 free throw attempts and was 6 of 10 from behind the three-point field goal arc for the week.

The guard concluded his four-year playing career with 1,081 points and 391 assists.
