Centerville, Mass. - Marymount University senior men's basketball standout Reed Scott was named First Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference All-South Region, as announced by the league office on Thursday. The voting was completed by head coaches within the ECAC Division III South Men's Basketball membership.
Scott was also previously named First Team All-Capital Athletic Conference after leading the Saints to a 16-12 record, their most in a season since the 2001-02 campaign. He also helped the Blue and White to their first CAC Tournament bid since 2009-10 and a victory in the opening round of the ECAC South Tournament against Penn State Abington.
Scott averaged 14.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 blocks and steals per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor, 39.1% from three-point range and 78.6% from the free throw line. He was second in the CAC in rebounding, fifth in blocks, sixth in field goal shooting and free throw shooting and seventh in scoring.
Scott posted seven double-doubles on the season and was named CAC Player of the Week twice.
For his career, Scott finished fifth at Marymount in scoring, second in rebounding, tied for third in blocks, eighth in field goal shooting and seventh in free throw shooting.
