Pomona-Pitzer saw its 11-game winning streak snapped, while Babson rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit and Swarthmore defeated its archrival in Wednesday night's men's basketball action.

Whittier snapped Pomona-Pitzer's 11-game winning streak, handing the No. 24 Sagehens their first loss against a Division III opponent this season, 97-93. The Sagehens, who are 11-3, fell to 8-1 against D-III teams and 4-1 against SCIAC foes. Ahmad Young scored 28 points and Kenyatta added 23 as both went 5-for-10 from 3-point range.

Babson rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit and Jack Coolahan, who scored 35 on Saturday on perfect shooting, scored the go-ahead basket with 4.1 seconds left in overtime to lift the Beavers past Coast Guard 94-92. Andrew Jaworski scored 24 of his game-high 26 points in the second half and overtime to pace four Beavers (12-2, 2-1 NEWMAC) in double figures. The Bears (5-8, 0-3) got 23 points from Tyler Perez.

Top-ranked Swarthmore won a battle of Centennial Conference unbeatens, defeating archrival Haverford 71-53. Vinny Deangelo scored a game-high 14 points and Zac O'Dell added 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists in front of 973 fans at Tarble Pavilion. Joe Wujciak led the Fords (11-3, 6-1) with 11 points. Swarthmore improved to 14-0, 7-0.

Carter Voelker missed his second free throw with 12 seconds left, but Justin Fox got the rebound for No. 7 UW-Platteville, giving the Pioneers a chance to tie or win at home against UW-Stevens Point. But Voelker could not convert on the would-be buzzer beater, and the Pointers held on to win 66-64. Senior Blake Ehrke led the Pointers with 21 points, including six vital points for a late lead. Garrett Nelson added a career-high 18 points. Ethan Bublitz was also in double figures with 11 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 53 seconds left.

Wyatt Cook shot 10-for-12 from the floor and scored a game-high 26 points in 41 minutes as No. 14 UW-La Crosse got past UW-Whitewater 84-78 in overtime. Whitewater overcame a double-digit, first-half deficit to force overtime, including eight points with 5:34 to go.

No. 15 Johns Hopkins got a combined 37 points from Conner Delaney and Braeden Johnson en route to a 76-59 win over Franklin & Marshall. The Diplomats were still within 10 at 20-10 with 12:27 remaining in the first half after a Justin Kupa runner in the lane, but the Blue Jays responded with a 17-6 spurt that was jump-started by a Tom Quarry 3-pointer and polished off with a three from Johnson. The win was the 100th for coach Josh Loeffler.

Leading by just two at halftime, Ramapo shot 77.8 percent from 3-point range in the second half to pick up a key 81-71 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory over New Jersey City. Ramapo shot 60.9 percent in the second half (14-23) and 7-of-9 from three-point range to improve to 8-7 overall and 4-4 in the NJAC — one game in front of NJCU (6-9, 3-5) in the standings. Four players hit for double figures for Ramapo, led by senior guard Connor Romano with 24 points, including 6-of-10 from 3-point range.

Freshman Aiden Gilbert scored a career-high 42 points and Grinnell rolled past Illinois College on the road, 135-107. The Pioneers, just 7-6 overall and 4-3 in the Midwest Conference, had lost three of their past four games, all at home. Hannes Kogelnik and Jackson Qualley had 28 points each. Grinnell shot 24-for-55 from 3-point range and 29-for-33 from the line.
