Pine Manor College named Alycia Gervais as its new women's basketball coach.
Gervais served the past two seasons as the assistant coach at the Division II University of Virginia College at Wise. She assisted with the recruiting, scouting, game planning, film sessions, academics and player development.
She started her collegiate coaching experience as the graduate assistant at Adelphi University from 2012-2014. At Adelphi she helped nationally recruit student athletes, pre-practice preparation, scout opponents while managing camps and clinics throughout the year. Adelphi cracked the Division II top 25 polls while making their first NCAA appearance since 2004 securing the East Regional number 2 seed.
Before her coaching days Gervais was a standout player at Daniel Webster. She was named the New England Collegiate Conference player of the year in 2011 and 2012 and selected to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region teams both seasons. In addition to her athletic accomplishments she served on the student athletics advisory committee (SAAC) all four years and worked as the student assistant with the athletic director helping assist in daily preparations and operations for the athletic department.
Gervais replaces Benjamin Akins who went 47-28 in three seasons at Pine Manor.
