Washington & Jefferson head men's basketball coach Glenn Gutierrez announced his resignation on Monday.

The Presidents finished 2-24 this past season, 1-15 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. In his nine seasons, W&J has finished with a winning record once, when it went 20-10 and won an ECAC postseason tournament title.

W&J was 104-141 under Gutierrez.

"We want to thank Coach Gutierrez for his nine years with our men's basketball program," said interim co-director of athletics Scott McGuinness.  "We wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors."

McGuinness said that a search for the Presidents' next head men's basketball coach will begin immediately.
