Lebanon Valley women's basketball coach Todd Goclowski was cut loose unexpectedly this past week. Goclowski compiled a 170-56 record in eight seasons as head coach at Lebanon Valley and is 209-69 overall as a Division III head coach.

"I was stunned; I did not see this coming," Goclowski told the Lebanon Daily News. "This is an unexpected hurdle but I aim to handle it with grace, class and integrity."

The Flying Dutchmen were 21-7 this past season, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament and losing in the first round to Baldwin Wallace. It was the fifth consecutive season of 21 wins or better for Lebanon Valley under Goclowski.

"On behalf of LVC, I want to thank Coach Goclowski for leading our women's basketball program over the past eight years, and we wish him well in his future endeavors," said athletic director Rick Beard.
