Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (5-3, 2-1 CC) travels to Las Vegas, Nevada to play two games in the D3 Hoops Classic. The Diplomats take on Dubuque (9-2, 3-1 American Rivers) on Wednesday at 11:00 pm EST (8:00 p.m. PT (local)). F&M then plays Wisconsin-Platteville (6-5, 0-2 WIAC) on Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST (4:00 p.m. PT (local)). Both games are being held at South Point Arena.

Last Game

The Diplomats fell in their non-conference matchup against Scranton earlier this month, 67-58. F&M trailed 56-41 with 7:29 left in the game before fighting its way back and cutting the deficit to four with 1:05 remaining in the contest. Despite the great second half comeback, the Diplomats were held off in the final minute. Josh Parra tallied his third double-double of the season as he posted a team-high 17 points and 15 rebounds in the game. Green recorded 15 points with four three-pointers while coming off the bench. John Seidman racked up 13 points in the contest, shooting 60 percent (6-of-10) from the field. Read the full recap here.

Last Time

The matchup between Franklin & Marshall and Wisconsin-Platteville will be the second meeting between the two programs and will be a rematch of the 1991 NCAA Division III National Championship game, where the Pioneers won 81-74.

F&M will face Dubuque for the first time in program history on Wednesday.

Dubuque Team Preview

Dubuque has won nine of its last 10 games entering the contest against F&M. Guard Jaylin McCants leads the Spartans in scoring, averaging 15.8 points per game. Guard Brock Simon has four double-doubles this season, averaging 12.1 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

Wisconsin-Platteville

Before the Pioneers take on F&M, Wisconsin-Platteville will play Concordia-Moorhead on Thursday. Forward Logan Pearson averages a team-high 18.7 points per game. Pearson also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 6.8 per contest.
