http://www.sidearmstats.com/kings/mbball/The King's women are playing for pride after being eliminated from Freedom Conference Tournament contention on Saturday after suffering a 65-62 loss to Misericordia in a game the Lady Monarchs led by 16 points at the half. King's (11-12/4-8 Freedom) will look to secure a season sweep over a Delaware Valley team that the Lady Monarchs defeated 85-74 in Doylestown back on December 2. The Aggies (12-11) are currently tied for third-place in the league with Manhattanville with 8-4 records in Freedom play. Delaware Valley has clinched a conference tournament berth.
On the men's side, King's (11-12/5-7 Freedom) is currently in for sixth-place in the Freedom Conference as the top-four teams qualify for the league playoffs. The Monarchs come off a 79-68 loss to Misericordia on Saturday. Delaware Valley, meanwhile, is in second-place in the conference at 17-6 and 8-4 and have clinched a playoff berth.
After playing Delaware Valley on Tuesday, the Monarchs travel to face Wilkes in the regular-season finale Saturday. Manhattanville , which lost to first-place DeSales Tuesday night, is a half-game ahead of King's at 6-7 and close out against Misericordia at home on Saturday. Wilkes, meanwhile, defeated last-place FDU-Florham last night and a home matchup with King's on Saturday. If King's wins its last two games and Manhattanville defeats Misericordia, the Monarchs would be locked in a three-way tie for the fourth snd final playoff berth. The MAC tiebreaking criteria would then come into play.
