Saturday's Preview: Today's game is the 2014-15 season opener for both teams and is the first game of the Milwaukee (Wis.) School of Engineering All-Engineers Classic ... ONU and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) will tip-off at 1 pm (CST) with MSOE and Illinois Tec playing at 3:15 pm (CST) ... The consolation game will be Sunday at 1 pm (CST) and the Championships game will follow at 3:30 pm (CST) ... CMS is a combination of students from Claremont McKenna, Harvy Mudd and Scripps Colleges which are located side-by-side in Claremont, Calif. ... Pomona College and Pitzer College are also part of the 5-campus compund and compete athletically as Pomona-Pitzer College with students from all five colleges taking classes together in many instances ... ONU has won 4 straight season openers and have claimed three consecutive season-opening tournament titles ... Northern won the Buffalo State (N.Y.) Classic last year, the Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) Tournament in 2012 and the Gettysburg (Pa.) Tournament in 2011 ... The Polar Bears welcome back two starters, seven regulars and nine lettermen from last year's team that went 16-10 overall and finished fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 12-6 record ... Northern went through the second half of the OAC's double-round robin schedule with a sizzling 8-1 record and third-year head coach Kevin Byrne is hoping to feed off of that late-season success ... Seniors Isaiah Roux, ucas Pennington and Jordan Martin lead the list of returners for ONU ... CMS is posted a 20-6 overall record and won the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 17-1 record last year ... CMS is ranked #26 nationally by D3Hoops.com with 74 points, just seven points of breaking into the Top 25 in the poll.
