Looking to lead BC to its first CUNYAC championship since 1980 and dethrone the reigning four-time conference champion Baruch will be a pair of 2012 CUNYAC First-Team All-Stars in seniors Justine O'Callahan and Lauren Plagainos, along with juniors Tiffany Thompson and Charnelle Saint Laurent, freshman Nicole Francomano and senior Melissa St. Louis.

Brooklyn defeated Baruch at home in their lone meeting during the regular season, 64-48, back on January 21st at the West Quad Center. In that game, Saint Laurent led the way netting 26 points to lead all scorers. O'Callahan added 12 points and nine rebounds, while Francomano had an all around game with eight points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Baruch was led by Jessica Duleba's team-high 14 points, while Kiara Johnson and Sheridan Taylor finished the game with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Taylor also grabbed a game-best 16 rebounds for the double-double, while Shamika Boyce chipped in on the glass grabbing 10 rebounds, as the Bearcats held the rebounding edge, 48-42.

Brooklyn advanced to the 2012 CUNYAC title game by defeating #8 York College (63-25) in the quarterfinals and #4 Lehman College (64-58) in the semifinals.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs during the conference championships has been Saint Laurent, who is averaging a team-best 16.5 points per game. Plagainos is chipping in with 12.5 ppg, while O'Callahan is also in double figures with 11.0 ppg, to go along with 8.5 rebounds per game. Thompson is contributing with a team leading 12.0 rpg, to go along with 9.5 ppg, while Francomano is dishing out 6.0 assists per game, to go with 7.0 ppg and 3.5 steals per game.

Baruch is in the title game for the seventh straight season, having won it all in five of their previous six trips, including four straight, after getting past #7 CCNY (73-42) in the quarterfinals and #3 Hunter College (74-51) in the semifinals.

Saturday's conference championship game will feature some of the top players in the conference, including Brooklyn's O'Callahan and Plagainos and Baruch's Duleba (2012 CUNYAC Player of the Year) and Folashade Akinde (2012 CUNYAC Second Team All-Star).

Along with great players, the championship tilt will also feature two of the top coaches in the CUNYAC, as the Bulldogs will be led by three-time CUNYAC Coach of the Year Alex Lang (2009, 2011, 2012); while the Bearcats will be led by five-time CUNYAC Champion Machli Joseph (2006, 2008-2011).
