Hit Clinic Drives Quakers to Sweep of Capital

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) The visiting Wilmington Quakers put on a hit clinic against the host Capital Comets, tallying 31 hits across 11 innings in a run-rule doubleheader sweep with scores of 14-6 and 11-1.

I never saw running as a sport. To me, running served as a means of chasing my brother around our yard and playing with our great danes on forgotten trails by the Little Miami River. Running never felt like a chore, or something anyone nagged me to do.

Nick Roca scored two goals early in the first quarter, his second goal making the score 3-2 in favor of the Comets. Wilmington would score once more on a goal by freshman Caleb Mann before ultimately falling by a final score of 25-3.

Quakers Battle With Student Princes, Swept in Doubleheader

(TIFFIN, Ohio) The visiting Wilmington Quakers fought with the host Heidelberg Student Princes but fell short in a doubleheader sweep, as the Student Princes took both games 6-2 and 11-10, respectively.
