Women's
Monica Garcia Silva
The La Verne Leopards played just one game this week, but what a game it was. Garcia Silva scored 48 points (31 in the second half) in a 93-84 conference win over Occidental. She shot 59% from the floor and grabbed 18 rebounds. Garcia Silva went 10-13 from the line and handed out six assists.
Madison Temple
Temple continues to dominate on the court, leading the No. 4 Saints to four wins in six days across three time zones, beating No. 5 Chicago, Marietta, Whitworth, and Whitman all away from home. She averaged 25 points and seven rebounds to go along with six assists and three steals per game. Temple shot 65% percent (34-of-52) from the floor and 90% percent (26-of-29) from the free-throw line.
Danica Cambrice
Cambrice posted a pair of 25 point performances in conference victories over Saint Benedict and St. Olaf last week. The junior guard shot 58% from the floor in 34 minutes per game. Cambrice pulled down seven rebounds against the Bennies on Wednesday to go along with two assists and a pair of steals before hauling in eight boards - five on the offensive side of the ball - and collecting five more steals and assists apiece in the win versus St. Olaf on Saturday.
Erica Lutz
Lutz spearheaded a 2-0 week for the Warriors, averaging 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 4 steals per game in wins over previously undefeated conference foes Lebanon Valley and Arcadia. She had 11 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals in a 60-50 win over Lebanon Valley before dropping a career-high 23 points to go with 12 rebounds, a career-high five steals and two blocks in a 55-52 win over Arcadia.
Erin Risner
Risner posted two double-doubles in wins over Muskingum and Ohio Northern this week. She averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds per game, helping Capital to a 6-0 start. Risner shot 64% from the field and was key on both ends of the court down the stretch to hand the Polar Bears just their second loss of the season.
Men's
Randy Walko
Walko averaged 27 points and eight rebounds in a pair of conference victories for TCNJ. He finished with 19 points and seven rebounds in a win over Rutgers-Camden and, on Saturday, in a win over first-place Montclair State, Walko scored a career-high 34 points while pulling down nine rebounds. He scored 16 of those points in the first 6:45 of the game, going 6-for-6 from the field in that stretch with four makes from three-point range.
Booker Coplin
Coplin helped the Auggies pick up two conference wins and improve to 6-1 on the season. He scored 25 points, with eight rebounds, two assists and three steals against Hamline. Coplin followed that with 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals in Augsburg's 81-71 win over Concordia-Moorhead.
Sean Smith, Jr.
On the week, Smith, Jr. averaged 36 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals while shooting 56% from the field and 40% from the 3-point line. Against Delaware Valley, Smith scored a game-high 25 points with 10 rebounds and one steal. Then against Wilkes, the sophomore scored a program-record 46 points on 16-of-25 shooting with 11 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Gabriel Leifer
Leifer led Yeshiva to three Skyline wins this week, just missing a triple double against Purchase with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. On the week, Leifer averaged 16 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three blocks, with a five to one assist to turnover ratio.
Eli Cave
Cave averaged 24 points and nine rebounds as Saint Mary's rolled to a pair of MIAC wins. He totaled 19 points and 11 boards in a 71-64 win over Concordia on Wednesday to snap a 27-game conference skid before pouring in a game-high 29 points (27 in the second half) in the Cards' 86-81 victory at Gustavus. Cave went 11-for-18 from the field, hitting 4-of-7 three-pointers on Saturday to help SMU end a 35-game losing streak against the Gusties.
