Women's

Camila Casanueva

Casanueva led Brandeis to a 2-0 week, playing 79 of a possible 80 minutes and averaging 23.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists and four steals per game while shooting 67% from the field, 64% from 3-point range and 93% from the line. She scored 30 points in a 74-61 win at Salem State, matching the Vikings' offensive output in the first half with 18 points. Casanueva just missed her first career double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds in a 77-60 win over Johnson and Wales.

Kelsi McNamara
McNamara averaged 19.0 points, 10.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for St. Joe's. She scored 18 points with eight assists and five steals in a 71-55 victory over University of New England on Wednesday and notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 assists in a 93-71 triumph over Bates on Saturday.

Kayla Kline
Kline averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals during a 2-0 week for Lycoming as they opened MAC Commonwealth play. She notched 19 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 74-49 win over Albright and posted 20 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in a 63-55 win over Stevenson. Kline hit an old-fashioned three-point play to give Lycoming a 45-44 lead in the fourth quarter as part of 14-2 run that sealed the game.

Lauren Hunter
Hunter recorded double-doubles in all three wins this past week for Merchant Marine, including scoring 37 points and bringing down 14 rebounds on Tuesday at Hunter. The rookie followed that up with a 29-point, 16-rebound performance on Thursday at Sarah Lawrence and then a 16-point, 12-rebound effort Sunday at Medgar Evers. She averaged 27 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 68% from the field this week.

Hannah Norlin
Norlin averaged 20.7 points and eight rebounds per game in leading the Yellowjackets to a 3-0 week, including a 58-50 win at Division II Bemidji State, in which she had 21 points, five rebounds, five blocks and two steals. She earned her second double-double of the season in a 77-52 home-opening victory over St. Benedict with 19 points and 13 boards, and finished the week with 22 points, eight rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals in a 75-64 win vs. UW-Eau Claire.

 

Men's

Corey Sherman
Sherman claimed MVP honors for Brandeis at the 2018 New England Big Four Challenge after averaging 24.5 points, four rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in wins over Salem State (77-69) and host Babson (74-49). He hit 67% overall, 50% from 3-point range and 93% from the line. Sherman has been instrumental in leading the Judges to their best start since 2013-14.

Anders Nelson
Nelson averaged 24 points, 6.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.5 steals in a road victory at Macalester and a U.S. Bank Stadium win vs. UW-River Falls last week. The freshman point guard made all nine of his free throw attempts and sank 5-of-13 from 3-point range in the two contests. Nelson is averaging 22 points, five assists, four steals, and four rebounds in the Tommies' current four-game win streak.

Kevin Dennis
Dennis led Morrisville State this week, averaging 30.5 points and 21.5 rebounds per game while shooting a collective total 61.3% from the floor and 85% from the free throw line. He began the week with a 26 point, 11 rebound effort against No. 12 Middlebury. He followed up with a career high 35 points and 32 rebounds in the double overtime win against SUNY Poly.

Jonathan Patron
Patron averaged 27 points and 13.7 rebounds over three games this week. On Tuesday's 93-64 win over St. Lawrence, Patron recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists and three steals. He logged 32 points and 20 boards in the Cardinals 85-75 SUNYAC victory over New Paltz and added three assists, three blocks and two steals. In the SUNYAC championship rematch from last year, Patron dropped 26 points, picked up 11 rebounds and had five assists over Oneonta.

Armando Dunn
Dunn averaged a double-double over the course of three games, leading the Raptors, picked last in the preseason Liberty League coaches' poll, to a 2-0 start in conference play. He had 21 points and nine rebounds vs. SUNY Delhi. At RIT, he had another 21 and nine with two steals and a block. At Ithaca, Dunn had 19 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocks - including 3-of-4 from the foul line in the last 14 seconds to pull out a two-point victory.
