Team of the Week

The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 17th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.

Women's

Chanlir Segarra
Segarra led the Vikings to a 3-0 week as Berry moved to 11-3 and a perfect 3-0 in SAA play. Segarra capped the week with 26 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in a convincing 85-67 win over defending conference champion Rhodes. Overall, she averaged 19.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists per contest.

Jade Desroches
Desroches was dominant in a pair of victories, averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 steals, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the floor and making eight 3-pointers. She scored 19 points with seven steals, three blocks and two assists in a rematch of last year's NAC championship game as Castleton held Colby-Sawyer to a season-low 41 points in a 56-41 victory. Desroches followed it up with 21 second-half points to help snap Elms' five-game win streak with a 63-46 victory. The guard also added five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the win. 

Sally Linzmeier
Linzmeier led the Yellowjackets in scoring both games as the team went 2-0. Wednesday against Whitewater she scored 28 points as the Yellowjackets led from start to finish and won by 12. Saturday on the road at La Crosse the Yellowjackets fell behind early and trailed by 11 at halftime. Linzmeier put the team on her back scoring 23 points (half the team's total) in the second half and finished the game with 29 as the Yellowjackets rallied for the win, 64-59. She averaged 28.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the week, along with 4.5 steals.

Hannah Considine
Considine recorded double-doubles in both of Wheaton's wins last week. Her 36 points against No. 24-North Central was not only a career-high, but the fifth-highest single-game scoring total in Wheaton history. She grabbed 21 total rebounds, including 12 offensive boards against North Central, to record the second-highest single-game rebound total in school history. She also had a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds in a 72-46 win at Illinois Wesleyan.

Kristen Schulz
Schulz recorded her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season as the Warriors pushed their winning streak to eight games last week. She averaged 24.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 blocks per game to lead WLC to a pair of victories over previous conference unbeaten Benedictine (77-60) and Aurora (62-38).

Men's

Trae Washington
Washington turned in a pair of strong performances, averaging 23 points and 7.5 assists per game for the Grizzlies. He also shot 62.5 percent (10-of-16) from behind the arc, including 8-of-9 on three-point field goal attempts against Manchester on Wednesday. Washington scored a career high 30 points in the victory over Manchester. He had 16 points and nine assists against Anderson on Saturday. He also averaged 4.5 rebounds for the week.

Jordan Brink
Brink led Calvin to victories over Alma and Hope last week, scoring 20 points against Alma and matching a career high with 29 points against Hope. In a 93-87 win over Alma, he converted four free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win. In Saturday's win over Hope, Brink scored 19 second-half points including 12 in a five-minute span in the second half that allowed the Knights to pull away for an 88-64 win.

R.J. Rosa
Rosa averaged 21.0 points per game and 4.3 steals per game in a 3-0 week for the Hawks, stretching the team's win streak to four. Rosa shot 48 percent (24-of-50) from the field on the week, including a 42.9 percent (9-of-21) clip from 3-point range, and he shot 85.7 percent (6-of-7) from the line. On Tuesday, he scored a career-high 31 points and shot 7-of-9 from 3-point range, including 6-of-6 in the second half, to help New Paltz hand Cortland its first loss of the season by a 78-73 final. Rosa then scored a game-high 19 points and added seven steals, four rebounds and two assists on Friday, helping the Hawks edge Brockport, 57-55. On Saturday he scored 13 points and chipped in three steals, two rebounds and two assists as well in New Paltz's 75-62 victory over Geneseo.

Alex Foster
Foster came through with his second straight and sixth double-double of the season in helping Emory to a victory at Rochester. He had game highs with 34 points and 13 rebounds in leading the Eagles to an 84-win. He finished out the game sinking a career-high tying 15-of-28 from the floor, including 4-for-8 from 3-point range, en route to his 12th double-figure scoring performance of the year, his 10th of 20 or more points and third of 30-plus points. 

Lorenzo Williams
Williams recorded a double-double in all three games for the Bulldogs in a 2-1 week. Against York (N.Y.), Williams posted 27 points and 13 rebounds in the win. On Jan. 8 against St. Joseph's (Bklyn.), he finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. He finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in a loss to Baruch. Overall for the week, Williams averaged 21.0 points on 49.0% (24-for-49) shooting from the field and 78.9% (15-for-19) shooting from the free throw line, 12.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
