Men's
Derrick Jefferson
Jefferson had the first triple-double in the 25 years Hardin-Simmons has been non-scholarship, with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against Louisiana College. He had to slide over to the point position after starter Christian O'Neal was injured early in the loss to Texas Lutheran. Jefferson averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 assists while shooting 10-for-19 from the floor in two games for the 10-1 Cowboys.
Brandon Angradi
Angradi tied a Centennial Conference record, hitting 10 3-pointers for a career-high 32 points, leading the Red Devils past York (N.Y.). Angradi shot a remarkable 63 percent from the 3-point line, draining 10 of 16 attempts. Angradi had a great start, hitting seven of 11 triples in the first half. He added three rebounds and a pair of assists as well. He averaged 26.0 points in two games.
Alex Foster
Foster averaged 27.3 points and 6.7 rebounds as Emory topped undefeated Bates, Union and No. 8-ranked Virginia Wesleyan. Foster led the squad in scoring in all three outings, scoring 20 or more points in each contest, and led the team in rebounding twice. In the 77-64 decision over Virginia Wesleyan, Foster rang up 35 points, 19 coming in the second half, and contributed a game-high 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the campaign.
Jack Serbin
Serbin helped the Tartans to a 1-1 mark over the break while also playing a huge factor in the Cardinal and Gray starting the season 9-0, its second best start in school history. In the two contests, Serbin recorded back-to-back double-doubles giving him seven for the season. He averaged 19.0 points, 17.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 assists during the stretch. He started the break with 13 points and 14 rebounds in a 55-45 win vs. Juniata. He then topped his previous career-best in rebounds by grabbing 20 while pouring in a season-high 28 points in the Tartans lone setback of the season, 70-68 to Heidelberg.
Joey Flannery
Flannery averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals while shooting 60.7 percent from the floor and 92.9 percent at the free throw line to help the Beavers run their winning streak to nine with a pair of victories. He poured in 28 points, going 8-of-16 from the floor and 12-of-13 at the free throw line, while pulling also pulling down three boards and collecting two steals as Babson defeated Colby, 72-65. Flannery followed it up with 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting to go along with nine boards, five assists and two steals in just 23 minutes as the Beavers cruised past Elms, 86-57.
Women's
Emilee Marro
Marro averaged 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game in three games. She netted 22 points and grabbed five rebounds and four steals in a 68-62 setback to William Paterson. She followed that up with 12 points and eight rebounds in a 43-42 loss to Anna Maria. Marro wrapped up the week with 16 points and five rebounds in a 57-44 defeat at the hands of No. 4 Tufts.
Kimberly Scamman
Scamman started her week with a career-high 41 points on Dec. 29 in a 65-61 win over Johns Hopkins. She scored her 41 points on 15-of-20 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers and she added nine rebounds, four steals and an assist. During the three games, she connected on 28-of-44 shots from the field and 6-of-14 from the 3-point line, averaging 23.7 points per game.
Taylor Mathers
Mathers averaged 21.0 points per game, while pulling down 7.0 rebounds per game to lead the Bearcats to three victories. Mathers converted 27-of-46 field goal attempts to shoot 58.6 percent. She also made nine of 11 free throw attempts (81.8 percent).
Jess Rheinheimer
Rheinheimer hit new heights last week, averaging 35.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in a pair of EMU wins. Rheinheimer notched double doubles and broke her career high in scoring in both games. Her 29 points and 12 rebounds against Christopher Newport helped the Royals avenge a loss to the Captains in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last spring. Then she put the team on her back with a whopping 41 points, 10 boards, three steals and two blocks in Saturday's win vs. Washington College.
Kaitlyn Jacobs
Jacobs recorded the third and fourth double-doubles of her career on back-to-back days to earn all-tournament honors at the D3hoops.com Classic. She scored a career high 18 points and tied a career high with 15 rebounds in a loss to No. 1 FDU-Florham, averaging 16.0 points and 12.5 rebounds for the week.
