Women's
Lauren Potchak
Potchak scored a school record 38 points on 10-for-19 shooting from the field and hit 15-of-19 from the charity stripe (79 percent) in leading Widener past Moravian 80-70 Wednesday night. She erased a school record of 33 points that had stood since the 1984 season. Later that same week Potchak poured in a team-high 25 points as Widener fell to Susquehanna 82-73.
Meg Hagarty
The sophomore guard continues to follow her conference rookie of the year award with more solid numbers, as she averaged 19 points on the week, and was 3-for-5 from 3-point land. She was also 11-for-12 from the free-throw line and added eight rebounds, seven assists and 5 steals as she led a young Cardinal team to 66-55 win against Marymount.
Brandy Trice
Averaged 18.7 points and 13 rebounds over three games, dishing out four assists, while only committing four turnovers. She also added four blocks over the three contests.
Kendra Meyer
Meyer had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes in Capital's 58-46 victory against Muskingum on Jan. 26. She was 8-for-9 from the line, and added four assists on the week.
Leslie Clementoni
Clementoni led Susquehanna back from a 16-point first half deficit to score a crucial 82-73 MAC Commonwealth win at Widener. Clementoni had her career highs in scoring in both games -- scoring 24 at Messiah and surpassing it with 29 in the Widener win, while averaging 26.5 points and 10.0 rebounds -- shooting 64.7 percent from the field, 75 percent from the line. She also had a team-high nine rebounds at Messiah, and a game-high 11 at Widener.
Men's
Nate Karsten
Karsten led Calvin to victories against Kalamazoo and Defiance last week. In the 94-89 victory at Defiance, Karsten poured in a career-high 26 points including a clutch triple with 1:51 left to boost Calvin into an eight-point lead. The victory against Defiance boosted Calvin into a two-game lead in the MIAA conference race.
Chad Fabian
Fabian scored a career-high 42 points to lead Wilkes to an 86-76 comeback win against archrival Scranton. Fabian had just three points as the Royals jumped out to their lead with seven minutes left in the first half. But, he tossed in 15 tallies in the final seven minutes to lead Wilkes on a 24-9 run to end the half trailing by just four. He connected on 13 of 20 field-goal attempts, including an 8-for-13 performance from 3-point range. For the week he averaged 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Derek Helman
Led the Hornets to a 3-1 week, averaging 18.25 points. He shot 14-for-16 from 3-point land, and was 16-for-17 from the charity stripe. He brought down 25 rebounds over the week and added nine assists, three blocks, and five steals.
Dan Flaherty
Dan led a young and coming Tufts team to upset wins against regionally ranked Amherst and nationally ranked Trinity in NESCAC action over the weekend. He scored 21 (9-for-11) with 16 boards in a 79-72 win against Amherst and followed with 23 and 13 in an 86-78 win against No. 19 Trinity.
Tyree Jones
Jones shot 13-for-17 for the field and finished with a career-high 35 points to go along with 15 rebounds as he led Delaware Valley to an 85-75 upset of five-time defending MAC Freedom League champion Wilkes. The win was the first by DVC against the Colonels since 1980. Jones followed with eight points and seven rebounds in a victory over Drew. DVC is 8-10, 4-5 after going 7-17, 1-13 last year.
