Michael Harper was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA
Division III men's basketball championships for the second year in
a row as North Park won its second consecutive national title.
North Park led by 15 early in the second half, 43-28, before
Potsdam State rallied to cut the lead to two with 1:28 left. Harper
finished with a double-double, 19 points and 10 rebounds in the
win, finishing with 111 points and 58 rebounds for the
tournament.
This was also the first bracket with a full 32 teams and no unusual byes in the first, second or third rounds.
