Saturday: Still the Maine attraction
No. 6 Bowdoin completed a sweep of its CBB rivals by beating No. 19 Colby while Chicago worked overtime to knock off No. 25 Calvin on the road. On the men's side, St. Thomas is poised to enter the Top 25 after the Celts got a win and some help from another Texas team. Read about it here.

Wednesday: Opening statements
Conference play began across the country with No. 2 Randolph-Macon blitzing No. 8 Hampden Sydney in the ODAC, Chapman tripping No. 5 Redlands in the SCIAC, and No. 10 Illinois Wesleyan holding off Carthage in the CCIW. Elsewhere, No. 1 Trinity survived its trip across town to St. Joseph, and the Ohio Wesleyan women topped John Carroll in their Top 25 showdown.

Eighteen-Point Wins Propel Eastern Conn. to Title
NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Julian Sanchez (Willimantic) came off the bench to lead four double-figure scorers with a game-high 21 points and the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team committed a season-low nine turnovers as the Warriors won the Ed Hockenbury Classic with a 73-55 victory over host Norwich University Sunday afternoon at Andrews Gymnasium.

BRUNSWICK, ME – The University of Rochester men’s basketball team nearly mounted a second-half rally for the second straight day but ultimately fell in its final game at the UAA Challenge, dropping a 72-70 decision to Bowdoin College on Sunday afternoon at Morell Gymnasium.

Women’s Basketball Earns Second Straight SUNYAC Win, Defeats Buffalo State 66-56
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team earned its second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win, defeating Buffalo State 66-56 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall. Sophomore forward Kaelyn Morgan (Chateaugay, N.Y. / Chateaugay Central) paced the Cardinals with a career-high and game-high 16 points and added three rebounds and an assist as well.
