More than four months after the position became open, Meredith hired former UNC Tar Heel, pro basketball player and D-II assistant coach Laquanda Barksdale Quick as its new head coach.

Melinda Campbell has been a coach since 1992 and has coached basketball at Meredith since 2009. She will return to a full-time academic role.

Meredith snapped a seven game losing streak with the win. Rahn now has 1,018 career points and is now the seventh all time scorer for the Avenging Angels, passing Ruth Stephenson (1,008).

Raleigh, N.C. – The Meredith basketball team hosted another top 25 USA South conference team as #13/16 Greensboro College visited on Wednesday night. The Pride took the contest 72-54.

The Middle Atlantic Conference has voted to offer Arcadia and Manhattanville membership in the Freedom Conference. The USA South is adding Meredith.
