Kalamazoo head men's basketball coach Jay Smith is returning to Division I Michigan to join Juwan Howard's staff as the Wolverines' director of player personnel and development.

Kalamazoo College senior guard Mark Ghafari has been named to the 2013-14 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Capital One Academic All-America First Team.
