Birmingham-Southern Routs Wesleyan 80-42

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball improved to 8-2 overall with its 80-42 win over Wesleyan College Saturday in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers are 5-0 this season at home.

Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) and Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) led BSC in the win.  Black finished with a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds.  Olsen earned her fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Panthers led 42-19 at the break shooting 54 percent from the floor. 

BSC remains at home next week.  The Panthers open Southern Athletic Association play against Millsaps College on Wednesday, Dec. 18.  Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
