LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to win a fourth straight.

• The contest was a game filled with runs
• Leading 11-9 midway through the first, Alex Fanning made a layup to open 9-0 run, scoring six points during the stretch as Benedictine opened a 20-9 advantage
• Dominican battled back to within two points at the end of the first and scored the first nine points of the second quarter to lead 28-21
• The lead grew to double-digits with under four minutes to play in the half and swelled to 14 in the final minute of the half
• Brianna Lake and Britney Pitzer made three on back-to-back possessions as Benedictine went into the break trailing 44-33
• The second half opened with five straight points as Benedictine drew within 44-38
• Claire Gibler hit a three to bring Benedictine within three points at 47-44 and knocked down three free throws to tie the score with 2:47 remaining in the quarter
• Hanna Piro connected on two free throws in the final minute to tie the scored headed to the final 10 minutes
• Lake and Allison Michalski scored four in a row to break a 60-60 tie and Benedictine utilized a late 7-0 run on free throws to grab the win
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine made 36 free throws in the victory and overcame making just five field goals over the second and third quarters, shooting 34 percent for the game
• Benedictine blocked six shots and held a 46-40 edge on the glass
• Gibler led four players in double figures, notching 19
• Michalski finished with 17 points while Fanning logged a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds
• Pitzer finished with 12 points
