St. Thomas women cruise to 6-0 start

Junior guard Macy Hatlestad sank five treys and closed with 22 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 6-ranked Tommie Women's Basketball to Wednesday night's 74-53 conference road win at Macalester.

St. Thomas (6-0 overall, 3-0 MIAC) made 11-of-20 shots from 3-point range and had only nine turnovers as it won its third conference road game in 12 days.

Amber Darge scored 17 points for the Purple, who built a 36-22 halftime lead.

Justine Barraza sank five treys and finished with a game-best 26 points for Macalester (1-7, 0-3).

St. Thomas is home Saturday to face Gustavus (3 p.m.).
