DECATUR, Ga. - The Sewanee women's basketball team bounced back on Saturday in the final day of the Agnes Scott Tip-Off Classic by defeating the hosts, 63-45, from Woodruff Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a slow start by both teams in the first 10 minutes, Sewanee's offense took off. Trailing 6-5 as the second stanza started, the Tigers went on an 11-2 run for the first six minutes of the period. Sewanee claimed a 22-13 lead at the break.
-The Tigers maintained control in the final 20 minutes of the game, outscoring the Scotties, 41-32. Sewanee posted 10 steals in the third and fourth periods, six from Ellie Treanton. Additionally, the Tigers forced 17 turnovers from the hosts in the second half.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Ellie Treanton recorded a career-best nine steals, missing the school record by one, last set in 2001. However, the sophomore surpassed the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) record of seven, previously held by Sue Kim C'19 on two separate occasions during the 2017 season. The Clarksville, Tenn. native added 10 boards.
-Abby Young and Kinsley Logan each contributed 11 points each for Sewanee in the win.
-Off the bench, Camryn Broussard scored 10 points and corralled six boards in 21 minutes.
AGNES SCOTT KEY STATISTICS
-Emma Olsen led all scorers with 16 points and added eight rebounds in 38 minutes of action.
-Kalin Smith recorded 11 points.
