More news about: Ripon

Ripon College Senior Maggie Oimoen has been named to the All-Conference First Team, as released by the Midwest Conference office on Tuesday. That makes Oimoen just the fourth player in program history and first in 16 years to earn First Team honors in three consecutive seasons.

A Biology and Psychology double major from Barneveld, Wis., Oimoen currently ranks seventh in the MWC in scoring (14.5 ppg), while also ranking fifth in rebounding (7.7 rpg), second in field goal percentage (.556), and second in blocked shots (1.7 bpg). She has recorded the second-most double-doubles this season (10), giving her 19 for her career, which is tied for second in program history.

With at least one game still to play, Oimoen has already broken Ripon's single season record for blocked shots with 45. Her 391 points this season ranks fifth in program history, 48 shy of the school record, while her 206 rebounds on the year ranks sixth in program history. She also ranks seventh in single season field goal percentage, shooting 55.6 percent from the field this year.

During last weekend's MWC Tournament, Oimoen became the first player in program history to record 1,300 points and 600 rebounds in a career. With 1,307 career points, she is currently 20 points shy of the school scoring record, which has stood for 21 years. Her 673 career rebounds rank third in program history, while her 123 career blocks rank second, just seven shy of the school record.
