CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team won its third straight Southern Athletic Association game on Sunday with its 74-61 road win over Hendrix College.
BSC (6-10, 3-2 SAA) outscored the Warriors 43-27 in the second half, holding Hendrix to just nine points in the third quarter. Four Panthers finished in double-figures. Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) earned a team-high 15 points.
Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) grabbed a team-high nine rebounds to go along with her 13 points. And Josie Wannemuehler (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS) and Kaitlin Hogan(Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) earned 12 and 11 points, respectively.
BSC returns home for another pair of conference games. They take on Sewanee Friday, Jan. 18 and then Centre on Sunday, Jan. 20.
