SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Sophomore guard Aryah Aungst made a game-winning jumper with four seconds remaining to lift Marywood University to a 65-63 victory over Susquehanna University on Saturday in women's basketball action. The Pacers end a four-game losing streak to post their second straight victory over the River Hawks.

The River Hawks erased a 14-point fourth quarter deficit, evening the score at 63-63 with an Alanna Connolly free throw made at the 22-second mark. Out of the timeout, Aungst collected an offensive rebound off of a Kilie Wyers missed 3-pointer, set up by a box-out from Emily Theobald (Honesdale). Aungst threw up a shot in the paint to reclaim a two-point lead. Susquehanna missed an attempt to force overtime with two seconds left.

"Aryah just flew in there out nowhere," Marywood coach Gabby Holko said. "She just flew from the top of the key, boarded the offensive rebound, and she just tossed it up there. It just hung out up there in the air for what-seemed-to-be two seconds. It was awesome."

Natasha Hessling (Honesdale) led the Pacers with her fifth double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Hessling shot .733 from the floor with an 11 of 15 shooting performance.

Theobald finished with 13 points with a 5-of-8 shooting performance. Aungst had 12 points and six assists.

Alyssa Olson provided the Pacers (3-4) with seven assists and nine rebounds. Wyers also contributed with nine points.

Susquehanna outscored the Pacers 15-4 over a five-minute span to tie the game in the final minute. An eight-point run made it a one-possession came when Sadie Comfort stole a ball and went coast-to-coast for a layup to slim the Pacers' lead to 59-56 with 3:14 left. After Aungst made a fast break layup on an Olson rebound/assist, Susquehanna followed with an Amanda Lemire 3-pointer with 82 seconds left.

Hessling continued her dominant effort with a layup that extended the lead to two possessions. Just 14 seconds later, Erin McQuillen had an old-fashioned three-point play that put the River Hawks within one (62-61) with 54 seconds.

Marywood outrebounded the River Hawks by a 43-33 margin. The Pacers doubled the River Hawks in assists (20-10). Marywood shot 42.4 percent from the field to Susquehanna's 39.7 percent. Hessling's rebounding performance allowed the Pacers to outscore 19-4 in second chance points.
