In the Battle of Lexington, the women defeated Hunter in an absolute classic, 75-74.

The Bearcats led for a total of 18 seconds in the game but managed to fight back and win in style when it counted the most in the end.

The game started to pick up in the fourth period, where the Bearcats trailed by six, but battled to cut it to one point in the final minute.

They finally took the lead on a pair of free throws by captain Shannon Barrett with 25 seconds remaining for a 73-71 advantage, but Hunter quickly responded with a three-point play to go back up, 74-73.

The Bearcats wasted no time rushing down the court and Barrett was fouled again. She calmly hit both free throws for a 75-74 score, which stood as the final before an excited crowd.
 
Rookie Melinda Spahiu narrowly missed a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Barrett finished with her own double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds, including the game-winning free throws.

Daniela Arias had 17 points and nine assists, while Sameera Ahmed scored a career-high 16 points.

For Hunter, Ashley Arias had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
