Green Scores 17 Against CMS

CLAREMONT — Shariah Green led three Oxy players in double figures, but the Tigers couldn't knock off Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a 67-55 loss on Saturday.

Green went 7 for 10 from the field and 3 for 5 from the free throw line. She also was Oxy's leading rebounder with five boards and grabbed two steals.

Alyssa Ramlochan added 10 points, five assists and four rebounds, and Emily Leonard scored 10 points. Michaela Smith-Simmons chipped in six points off of the bench.

The Tigers led at halftime 30-26 before a big third quarter by CMS put the Athenas back in control.

Gloria Bates led CMS with 18 points on 8 for 10 shooting. 

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 10-11 overall and 4-8 in SCIAC.

CMS improves to 18-3 and 11-1.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action on Wednesday at home against Caltech at 7 p.m.
